First and foremost, Brandon Elliott is a proud father to his young son, Jason Elliott, who is truly his pride and joy. Brandon, a 46 year-old Christian man who feels blessed to own and operate a small-to-medium sized tree service based in Windham, Connecticut, providing arborist services throughout much of Eastern Connecticut.
Brandon takes tree removal and safety very seriously. That is why he took the time to complete the 13 week Arborist 101 course at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven before taking the three-part licensing examination administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
Today, Brandon is a Connecticut-licensed arborist certified through CT DEEP. Brandon’s passion for tree work started as a teenager when he began felling trees and cutting firewood with his stepfather, Phil. He never lost his love for being in the woods, with the familiar smell of two-stroke oil in the air.
After working with and for several local tree-removal companies, primarily to acquire logs for his sawmill, Brandon decided it was time to start his own tree service. He began with just a $6,500, beat-up old bucket truck and one part-time employee with little to no experience.
Today, Elliott Tree Service has grown into a professional operation with a highly experienced crew and some impressive, high-end equipment capable of handling trees of virtually any size or hazard level. Brandon named the company Elliott Tree Service to represent the fact that it is a family-owned business built on his name, reputation and commitment to his customers. Unlike some fly by night tree companies that frequently change names, Brandon intends to build a company that stands behind its work and remains accountable to the community it serves.
